General Sign Regulations include (but not limited to):

  • All temporary signs that require a permit must have the name and phone number of the sign contractor or sign owner displayed in a visible location on the sign.
  • No sign shall be constructed or placed in such a way that its position, shape, colour, format or illumination, obstructs the view of, or may be confused with an official traffic control device.
  • Signs shall not have the following structures attached to it: ribbons, pennants or streamers, balloons, spinners or other similar devices.
  • No sign shall display lights resembling flashing, intermittent, or scintillating motion usually associated with danger or those used by police, fire, ambulance and other emergency vehicles.
